UM Sued For Its Handling Of U.S. Army Account
Urban One, the African-American-focused media company has filed suit against Interpublic Group’s media agency UM, charging that the latter misled and defrauded the plaintiff through ad buys
made on behalf of the U.S. Army as part of a minority recruitment push. The suit is the latest in a series of dramatic turns that the U.S. Army agency review has taken over the last two-plus years.
Incumbent McCann was recently eliminated and has officially protested. A similar protest by the agency after being eliminated last year kept the agency in the contest until now. The latest protest
remains pending.
