Counting Down The 40 Best TV Shows Of 2023: No. 10 Through 1

There are few things as subjective as picking the best TV shows of the year. While most lists contain a half dozen or so of the same series, the remaining slots have a wide variation from
critic-to-critic (and viewer-to-viewer). This is largely because there is a wider variety of content on the air than ever before on both linear and streaming platforms. It is also a sign of a
robust television/video landscape. From broad-appeal procedural dramas, to more niche series geared to specific sub-genres, to international (non-English language) hits, to little-publicized hidden
streaming gems, there’s something for everyone. And while my list may not match yours, this week’s edition features my final top 10 list of the best shows of 2023.
